Bringing tennis fans closer to the action and giving the Grand Slams their own unique identity.

HEAD - Grand Slams

Client:

Role:
Creative Lead, Art Direction and Concepting.

Output:
Social Posts and photography briefs.

Working closely with our tournament photographer, I created photography briefs that hero their world class roster of tennis players as well as celebrating HEAD products.

The coverage that we produced on our social channels for each Grand Slam was given its own identity, one that encapsulates aspects of the tournament, from the types of points that are played through to the heritage and tradition that it holds.

US OPEN

US OPEN ・

Encapsulating the bright lights, glamour and sheer grandeur of New York’s Flushing Meadows we went unapologetically American, creating a modern graphical art direction that evokes the scale and atmosphere of the tournament whilst flexing to different formats and outputs needed.

WIMBLEDON

WIMBLEDON ・

Known for its history, heritage and all white, we created an art direction that celebrates the hallowed turf of centre court and fast paced nature of grass court tennis whilst keeping it simple, classy and allowing the photos of the player to pop across different formats.

ROLAND GARROS

ROLAND GARROS ・

Set in the fashion capital, Paris, we created an art direction that is sleek and stylish in its appearance with a strong motion language that echoes the way that players slide across the clay surface.

AUSTRALIAN OPEN

AUSTRALIAN OPEN ・

Seen by many as the hottest Grand Slam, known for it soaring temperatures, our art direction led into this, from the copy that accompanied the imagery through to the addition of lens flares on the imagery that allow the blue hues and shadows on the court to pop.
